Dave Fyfe

Dave Fyfe is a lifelong resident of Vancouver Island, where he has spent decades hunting and fishing in one of North America's most unique coastal ecosystems. After guiding black bear and Roosevelt elk for an established outfitter, Dave founded North Island Guide Outfitters in 1993. Today, with the leadership of his son Chris and daughter in law Maria, they operate a world-class, multi-generational guiding business known for Coastal Black Bear, Roosevelt elk, and cougar.

Vancouver Island is renowned for producing some of the largest Coastal bears and Roosevelt elk in the world, and their operation has built an international reputation within this specialized environment.

Dave is a founding member and Past President of the Wildlife Stewardship Council (WSC) and continues to serve on its Board of Directors, supporting its mission to advocate for wildlife and the ecosystems that sustain it.

He is the recipient of the Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia's Outfitter of the Year award and was honored as SCI's North American Professional Hunter of the Year in 2023.
